Hello, my name is Marisa Pagano-Noteboom and I and my son, Ruben Hunt, are the owners of Liberty Game Calls. I have dedicated over 34 years in the field learning about elk. I have a talent for communicating with elk using game calls. This is one of the reasons that I am successful almost every year, and I am not just successful at harvesting any elk; I harvest big bulls on public lands.

In 2018 and 2019, I won the World Champion Elk Calling Contest in the women's division. That's when my late husband, Damian Pagano, also a World Champion Elk Caller, and I decided that we wanted to build and design elk bugles that sounded more like elk and less like you stuck your head in a culvert. Thus, in 2020, we launched Liberty Game Calls.

Damian and I were always disappointed in the bugles on the market. They are cumbersome in the field and we felt that they did not mimic the true sounds of elk. We decided that we wanted to build and design high-quality elk calls that actually sounded like elk. This would start by removing all or most of the plastic out of our bugles. This is because plastic makes it own sound and vibration. This vibration of the plastic is called "resin". You won't hear resin when an elk bugles. We wanted to get rid of or at least reduce this unwanted "resin" sound from our bugles. We wanted elk calls that had more density to better mimic actual elk anatomy. We also wanted bugles that were easier to use in the field.

Trust me when I say that elk can hear that resin sound and are less likely to respond to your plastic bugles. Elk are also smart and they are learning that the resin sound is a hunter not another elk. These bugles will become less and less effective every year. However, I have already started using my calls in the field for the last 4 years and I tell everyone that our hunting has improved substantially, with more elk responding to our calls.

Damian passed away in July of 2021. I almost gave up our company and on our dream of making game calls. However, I have endured and have let my son take over part of the business.

Ruben is a talented elk caller and hunter. He has learned all my tricks and has even taught me a thing or two. Ruben is also an avid bird hunter and is talented at using and making duck and turkey calls. Something that I am just learning about. His part in this business makes us a very good team

My decision to continue forward with Liberty Game Calls is a way to keep Damian's memory alive through our game calls and all our hunting adventures.
